Adidas POD-S3.1 White


Summer is in full swing, and adidas is prepping one of their newest lifestyle silhouettes, the Adidas POD-S3.1 Womens, with warm-weather ready colorways. Arriving in a womens-only “Clear Mint,” this light-colored P.O.D. features a tonal faint grey mesh upper, with white branded accents arriving on both the lateral eyestays and grey suede heel tab. A light pop of color is provided by a semi-translucent mint green plastic midfoot plate that connects the shoe’s two-piece white Boost heel and white TPU forefoot. A grey and white outsole with a small black branded hit complete the shoe’s look.

After first releasing in June, the Adidas POD-S3.1 Mens spiritual successor of sorts to the ultra-popular adidas NMD—is now set to arrive this August in a stately black/white color combination. The new colorways bears many a similarity to the first P.O.D. release, but swaps out the original’s brightly-colored accents for a more toned-down aesthetic.

The shoe’s upper arrives in a tonal mesh black, with the only colored accent arriving via white Adidas POD-S3.1 White branding on the black suede heel patch. A two-piece midsole features white Boost in the heel and a white TPU-style foam in the forefoot, connected together by a black plastic midfoot shank, while a retro-styled white and black outsole design completes the shoe’s look.

adidas’ propensity for combining futuristic silhouettes with their ultra-comfortable Boost cushioning continues, as a clean black/white colorway of their upcoming Adidas POD-S3.1 Black has been revealed. Featuring a black sock-like upper with tonal stripes, the shoe boasts a thick white Boost cushion on the heel with a black/white EVA foam making up the forefoot section of the unique separated midsole. Toned-down branding on the heel and midfoot complete the shoe’s futuristic aesthetic.
