The Winnipeg Goldeyes werent able to counter a hot hitting St. Frankie Albert Jersey . Paul Saints team on Wednesday night. The Goldeyes (60-35) fell 14-7 to the Saints (48-46) in front of 5,888 fans at Midway Stadium. The Saints, who struck first, scored one run in the first inning without a hit. They then opened up their lead with four more runs in the second to take a quick 5-0 lead. The Goldeyes response wasnt immediate, but in the top of the fifth inning, the Fish batters found their rhythm. Winnipeg would score seven runs in the inning to go up by two. The inning was highlighted by a Josh Mazzola grand slam. Mazzolas hit came on a 3-2 count, and he was able to drive in Donnie Webb, Reggie Abercrombie and Casey Haerther. "It was nice to have guys get on base and guys were having good patient at bats," said Goldeyes Pitching Coach Jamie Vermilyea on the Jewel 101 post game show. In the bottom of the same inning, the Saints would answer back with a two-run home run by Jake Taylor. At that point, the game was tied at seven. "We were able to put those seven runs on the board which was big for us," said Vermilyea. "But its tough to give that lead up after such a good inning, and then to come back again is even tougher." The Saints got another two-run homer in the sixth to reestablish their lead. They then added three more runs in the seventh to extend their lead to five. The Saints werent done there, as they would tack on two insurance runs in the eighth inning, to take a 14-7 lead going into the final inning. In the last frame the Goldeyes couldnt muster a response, and went down in order. "These types of games are going to happen," said Vermilyea. "You just want to try and stay away from them happening this late in the year." Saints pitcher Dylan Thomas was able to come on in relief and earn the win. He went 2 2/3 innings, striking out two and didnt give up a run. Taylor Sewitt took the loss for the Goldeyes also in a relief position as he gave up two runs in 1 2/3 innings of work. The Goldeyes and Saints will play a rubber match as they wrap up their three game series on Thursday night at 7 p.m. The game will be the last ever Saints game at Midway Stadium. The team will play in a new downtown ballpark starting next season. "Theres going to be a lot of people here [tomorrow night] and it should be a good baseball game with a fun atmosphere," Vermilyea said. The Goldeyes return home on Friday to open their final series of the regular season. Theyll take on the Gary SouthShore RailCats on Friday evening at 7 p.m. Y. A. Tittle Jersey . Both had to wait out a rain interruption lasting nearly five hours before taking comprehensive third-round victories to join Carling Bassett-Seguso (1983, 1986), Patricia Hy-Boulais (1996-97) and Daniel Nestor (1999) as Canadians who made it into the second week of a major. Jimmy Johnson Jersey . Jonathan Crompton led the team to a 40-9 win over the Saskatchewan Roughriders. Crompton threw three touchdown passes - two to Duron Carter and one to Brandon London - and Sean Whyte connected on four field goals to power the Alouettes to the win. http://www.custom49ersjersey.com/custom-norm-snead-jersey-large-1408d.html . -- Zach Johnson is like most players at the World Challenge, not sure whether hes still playing in 2013 or if hes in the middle of the new wraparound season that officially started in October.LONDON -- Arsenals title push was slowed by a draw at Southampton, Liverpool humbled neighbour Everton and Robin van Persie made a goal-scoring return from injury for Manchester United on a lively night in the Premier League on Tuesday. Arsenal clung on to a 2-2 draw at Southampton with 10 men after Mathieu Flamini was sent off in the 80th minute for a two-footed tackle. After trailing through Jose Fontes goal, Arsenal led briefly at the start of the second half when Olivier Giroud and Santi Cazorla scored but Adam Lallana quickly levelled for Southampton. While Arsenal extended its lead to two points, Manchester City can now go top with a victory at Tottenham on Wednesday. If City slips up, Chelsea can take the lead by beating West Ham. Liverpools focus is Champions League qualification, and a 4-0 derby demolition of Everton -- with Daniel Sturridge scoring twice -- took them three points ahead of Tottenham in fourth place. United is staying in touch with the top four, but remains six points adrift despite Van Persie taking just six minutes to score after almost two months out in a 2-0 victory over bottom-place Cardiff. Jonjo Shelvey and Chico Flores scored as Swansea beat Fulham 2-0 for its first win in nine league games, while Jason Puncheon eased Crystal Palaces relegation fears by clinching a 1-0 victory over Hull. The only game without goals on Tuesday was at Carrow Road, but the drama was provided by the 80th-minute scuffle that led to Norwich midfielder Bradley Johnson and Newcastle striker Loic Remy being sent off. On the south coast, Arsenal experienced an unusually dismal first half in a bright season for Arsene Wengers sidee. Ahkello Witherspoon Jersey. Fonte rose over Nacho Monreal to meet Luke Shaws cross to head past Wojciech Szczesny in the 21st. Arsenal avoided conceding again, and turned the game around after the break, with Giroud deflecting Bacary Sagnas cross into the net in the 48th and Cazorla set up by Mesut Ozil for a goal four minutes later. But Southampton became just the second side to score more than one against the Gunners in their last 22 league games when Lallana scored from Jay Rodriguezs cutback in the 54th. And Arsenal settled for the point after Flamini saw red for a two-footed lunge on Morgan Schneiderlin. At Anfield, Liverpool completely overwhelmed Everton after captain Steven Gerrard headed the hosts in front after 21 minutes. Sturridge then sprung the offside trap twice in two minutes to score a brace, and Luis Suarez scored his 23rd league goal of the season at the start of the second half. Sturridge missed out on a hat trick when he sent a penalty kick over the crossbar after Raheem Sterling was brought down by goalkeeper Tim Howard. "Its a massive victory over rivals close to us," Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers said. "If you look at Everton theyve only conceded 11 goals away from home before tonight and for us to get four and to maybe have had a few more is very pleasing." At Old Trafford, it was the perfect debut for record signing Juan Mata, and the perfect return for Van Persie. "We have missed his goals," United manager David Moyes said. After seven weeks out with a thigh injury, Van Persie headed United in front after six minutes, and Ashley Young struck the second after the break. ' ' '
